Connection fee

In addition to the tariff for exit capacity, a so-called connection fee for maintaining the system connection is charged at domestic exit points. The system connection between the national grid and the distribution network or between the national network and the gas installation of a directly connected end user is known as a GOS (gasontvangstation;gas receiving station). A GOS is a complex of installations that is needed to deliver the gas safely and in a controlled way. For industrial connections where GTS has concluded a Connection Agreement with the end user, the connection fee will be charged to the directly connected end user. For other connections, including those with distribution networks, the connection fee will be charged to the shipper that has contracted the exit capacity.
