Wheeling
If a shipper wants to transfer gas from a cross-border entry point to an exit point at the same location GTS offers wheeling. This service is available for a limited number of pre-determined combinations of entry and exit points, which may be found in Appendix 4 to the Transport Service Conditions (TSC), available on the GTS website.
Wheeling is only possible for a single quality and in a wheeling portfolio it is not possible to transfer title of the gas at the TTF. A shipper who has contracted wheeling must balance entry gas and exit gas in a wheeling portfolio on an hourly basis. Separate portfolios are created for wheeling contracts. Wheeling is subject to an annual tariff.
The terms and conditions that are applicable to entry and exit capacity regarding the duration of the contract and the monthly and daily tariff systems also apply to wheeling. The tariff for interruptible wheeling is expressed as a percentage of the firm wheeling tariff and will be applicable if firm capacity is not available on either one or both points in the wheeling combination.
More information about combinations of wheeling points can be found in the TSC Appendix 4 (Wheeling)
