Transport Services Unit
Transport Services is responsible for providing the GTS-services, and as such, maintains contacts with individual customers. The internet is an important communication channel. The employees of his unit analyse market developments and relevant regulatory developments. The unit is divided into three departments which work closely together.
The Front Office is responsible for capacity management, and, in this context, for negotiating and concluding transport contracts with shippers. It also draws up and maintains connection agreements with end-users and with regional and international network companies. The development and implementation of the public statutory responsibilities allocated to GTS in contractual agreements with customers are also a responsibility of this department. The staff tries to improve the product package for customers.
The Back Office is responsible for the financial and economic implementation of the contracts. It develops and supports the necessary resources, highlights implementing problems early on and identifies possible solutions in consultation with the Front Office. It is also responsible for processing contractual data.
The Marketing Monitoring department monitors and analyses (anticipated) developments on the Dutch and European gas (transport) markets, develops new transport-related products, including relevant tariffs and conditions, and translates these to market conditions. It also analyses and, where possible, tries to influence the political and administrative environment in which GTS operates.
