Press release of Energinet.dk, Gasunie Deutschland and Gas Transport Services

Copenhagen, Groningen, Hanover, 31 May 2010

Shipping starts in July 2010

As of 1 June 2010 shippers can register for the new Link4Hubs cross-border gas transfer service for North-West Europe. Timely registration will enable shippers to benefit from the Link4Hubs service as soon as this platform is fully operational, which is scheduled for 30 June. Shippers will be able to register for this new service via www.link4hubs.com. The service is offered by the Gasunie TSO in Germany and the Netherlands together with Danish Energinet.dk.

Link4Hubs directly connects shippers’ portfolios in the grids of the three participating TSOs and hence eases the exchange of gas between virtual trading points in Denmark (GTF), The Netherlands (TTF) and Northern Germany (GASPOOL Hub). It is a customer-friendly ‘one-click’ service, which combines the processes of capacity booking and nomination. The Link4Hubs service aims to meet and develop market demand for flexible and short-term access to firm cross-border transmission capacity.
