Integrated Open Season highlights huge demand for transport capacity
14 Jul 2009
More than 60 market parties have asked Gasunie to expand transport capacity in its high pressure network, particularly in Germany. This is the most significant outcome of the Integrated Open Season conducted by Gas Transport Services (GTS) and Gasunie Deutschland in the Netherlands and Germany.
Sufficient capacity is very important for market parties in order for them to provide end users with a continuous gas supply and to prevent possible price increases due to a lack of transport capacity. Gasunie’s gas transport network in Germany needs to be almost doubled in order to meet demand. Cross-border capacity must also be expanded considerably.
See Gasunie Deutschland’s website for more information.
