Mission

GTS's mission is:

The independent provision and implementation of gas transmission services for the benefit of a properly functioning liberalised gas market both within and outside the Netherlands.

GTS performs various statutory tasks in a non-discriminatory and transparent manner, as prescribed by the Dutch Gas Act (‘Gaswet’). Safety, reliability and security of supply are our priorities, together with customer focus, cost-consciousness and professionalism.

The company listens to market demands and tries to match its services accordingly. GTS develops its services in cooperation with its customers. It also consults its customers prior to adjusting or expanding the gas transmission system. GTS develops its network by reviewing demand for transport capacity and other services over the long term. This information is mostly provided by its customers. GTS supports developments on the gas market and facilitates them where possible (e.g. the APX gas market).
