Tineke van der Meij

Manager Finance & General

Tineke van der Meij studied physics at Utrecht University. After this, she carried out doctoral research at the Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM). In 1990, she started as a researcher in Gasunie's Research Department, working in the field of combustion research. During the period 1996-1999, she worked as an operational auditor, and, directly after this, she went into the technical purchases department, where she was involved in European tenders and supplier licensing. In 2002, she joined GTS' front office as a sales manager. As well as having direct contact with shippers, she was also intensively involved in the general conditions for shippers, as laid down in the Transmission Service Conditions. This was followed, in early 2005, by a transfer to GTS' Market & Regulation department as a senior staff member responsible for liberalisation. Her main task was the development and adaptation of services for shippers. Finally, she worked as an Operational Audit Manager for Gasunie from 2007 to 2010.

Since 1 May 2010, Tineke van der Meij has been a member of the management team of Gas Transport Services as a Finance & General Manager.
