Dick Zelhorst

Dick Zelhorst took a degree in econometrics from the University of Groningen (RuG) in 1988. Following his studies, he spent a number of years as a researcher at the RuG. In 1991 he began his career at Gasunie, in the sales department. Following his move to the audit department, where he spent several years, he was instrumental in developing the company’s sales policy for the liberalised industrial gas market. From 2000, he headed the account management team which was responsible for the sale of gas to distribution companies. In 2004 he transferred to Gas Transport Services as market and regulation manager. Between 2008 and June 2011, he was special projects manager in the Participations and Business Development unit, where he oversaw the demerger of Gasunie Zuidwending and the sale of Gasunie Research. In 2010 he gained a qualification in Dutch law from the University of Groningen.

On 1 July 2011, Dick Zelhorst was appointed manager commercial and regulatory affairs at GTS.
