Connection Integrity
The “Aansluitvoorwaarden Gas - LNB” state that the connection shall not endanger the uninterrupted functioning of the national gas transmission grid, nor endanger the staff of the operator of the national gas transmission grid or of any third party engaged by the operator of the national transmission grid. The integrity of the connection requires compliance with the connection conditions mentioned in Chapter 2 of the “Aansluitvoorwaarden Gas – LNB”.
In the connection conditions two measures are given that can be taken in the grid of the connected parties to safeguard the integrity. As these measures are currently present at very few connections, it has been decided that the connected party can also prove the integrity of the connection in another way.
GTS requests the connected party to issue a statement regarding the integrity of the connection in which the connected party indicates how the integrity requirement is complied with.
For any new connection, a statement will have to be submitted before the connection carries gas. The connected party shall prove the following:
The two measures mentioned in the “Aansluitvoorwaarden Gas - LNB” (check valve, appliance for the prevention of pressure fluctuations) have been taken; or
all gas pipelines including cathodic protection, gas pressure regulators, gas appliances and the buildings in which the installations are placed are designed, manufactured and inspected in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations applicable to this gas installation.
A connected party shall report, prior to the implementation, any adjustments to its gas installation that may influence the safety or uninterrupted functioning of the national gas transmission grid to the account manager of GTS.
During the operation phase, the connected party must be able to demonstrate that the gas installation is maintained and inspected in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations.
