Changes to Beta and size of zones starting 1 May 2011

As laid down in the Gas Conditions article 4.1.1.2.a we will facilitate a flatter entry pattern for shippers using damping during the summermonths (May until September) than would be possible by only using the standard damping as used until today. In order to make this possible the size of the Light Green and Dark Green zones will be reduced.

In practice this means that, starting the 30th of April, each day at 09:00 (LET) we will publish a value for the beta parameter of the damping formula on our website and Gasport. This parameter needs to be used when determining the damping for the exit programme for the next gasday.

The damping formula as well as an Excel file which can be used to simulate various values for the Beta can be found on our website.
