Financial settlement after use BPL
Under normal circumstances, all allocated volumes of gas are settled at the marginal price paid by GTS (if the system was short) or received by GTS (if the system was long) on the BPL. GTS has the option to introduce a financial incentive if the market does not respond adequately to system imbalances during a specific period.
Offline and online settlement
The balancing regime uses near real time allocations that are used to calculate the POS. The POS will not be recalculated when offline allocations become available.
The differences between the offline allocations and the online allocations are settled at a neutral gas price. For each day in a month, the net difference between near real time and the final, accountable, off-line allocations is invoiced.
